Waste Legislation: What Businesses Need to Know

Current position:
workplace Simpler Recycling rules have applied to most workplaces in
England since 31 March 2025. Micro-firms with fewer than 10 full-time
equivalent employees have until 31 March 2027. Further digital waste
tracking requirements begin for permitted or licensed waste receiving
sites from October 2026 in England and Wales, with later dates applying
elsewhere in the UK.
